    1. Preparation before installation

    Before installation, the plastic pad should be transported to the installation site and placed in order according to the serial number. It has two benefits: first, you can find the problem in time; second, it is easy to install and avoid the wrongly take in rush. The following tools and materials should also be prepared and shipped to the site before installation.

    (1) Two sets of φ14 bench drill;

    (2) 1 set of woodworking planer;

    (3) 1 set of abrasive wheel cutting machine;

    (4) 1 common twist drill (with the diameter of the bottom hole size);

    (5) 1 reamer for production use;

    (6) 2 punches;

    (7) special bolt (with the number same to bolts for original wood pad installation);

    (8) spring washer;

    (9) 1 level rod.

     

    2. Installation steps

    (1) Demolish the rope;

    (2) removal the wood pad, clean and inspect the roll;

    (3) in the rotation direction while roll lifting, and the order of plastic pad contacting the wire rope; the hole in roll for rope-out is Plastic pad 1, and so on; the hole should be expanded for instillation and fixation;

    (4) drill out the rope hole slot;

    (5) fill the plastic pad with a cork or filler (this step can be omitted);

    (6) install the rope, debugging and trail run;

     

    Several installation problems that should be paid attention to:

    1. The numbering end of plastic pad is reference plane that not allow cutting or scraping; if the plastic pad is too long, the end without number can be cut.

    2. Because the reel baffle is the riveting piece that may have varying degrees of deformation in the welding, in order to avoid the two-end cut problem in installation, the baseline must be found before installation. The baseline is the highest point when baffle rotates a cycle from the rope-out end.

    3. The plastic pad installation should be based on the horizontal size; the first piece of installation is particularly important; it is necessary to keep horizontal while making the hole in the middle of plastic pad; adjust timely in case of any deviation. After that, re-check the horizontal and adjust every 5-10 pieces.

    4. It is better to use special bolts, and must use flat gasket and spring washer; ordinary hexagonal head bolts can also be used in case of no special bolt. As for the plastic pad hole expanding depth, 7mm - 10mm from the bolt head to the rope slot bottom is appropriate.

    5. The weld convex in installation should be paid attention, to prevent plastic pad from overhead.
