The basic principle of the KOEPE Winder is characterized by the drive of the winding ropes, operating solely by frictional engagement. KOEPE Winders may be designed to be floor-mounted at pit bank level (surface level of the shaft) or as a shaft-head-mounted machine right above the shaft.

KOEPE Winders, unlike drum machines, work with traction sheaves. These sheaves are fitted with friction lining,Frictional engagement between the rope grooves and the ropes transmits the movement of the traction sheave to the ropes and limits the winder's traction capacity of the transmitted overload.

In order to meet the domestic new demand on large-scale, ultra-large multi- rope friction hoist, our plant introduced raw materials from Germany to produce GDM326 Friction Pulley lining, for supporting import and domestic large-scale, ultra-large hoists and for meeting the needs of different users.Compared with other pads, GDM326 Friction Pulley lining with imported material has greater increases mainly in the friction coefficient,compression resistance, wear resistance and stability, so it can be trusted. It has been widely used and achieved very good economic benefits. GDM326 Friction Pulley lining with imported materials can be applied to other machineries that take use of friction transmission, and also be used as leading wheel friction pad for cable.
